These Terms & Conditions govern all reservations and stays at Hostel Cosmos Amsterdam. Guests are also required to comply with our House Rules, which form an integral part of these Terms & Conditions.

Terms & Conditions

1. GENERAL

These Terms & Conditions govern all reservations and stays at Hostel Cosmos Amsterdam ("the Hostel"). By making a reservation and staying at the Hostel, guests agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions and the Hostel House Rules.

2. RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENT

Reservations are subject to availability and confirmation.

The Hostel reserves the right to pre-authorize or charge payment cards in accordance with the selected booking conditions.

Applicable city taxes, government charges, or other mandatory fees may be charged in addition to the accommodation rate unless expressly stated otherwise.

3. CANCELLATION AND NO-SHOW

Flexible reservations may be cancelled or modified free of charge until the deadline specified at the time of booking.

Non-refundable reservations cannot be cancelled, modified, or refunded.

In the event of a no-show, the full reservation amount may be charged and the reservation may be cancelled automatically.

Group reservations may be subject to separate cancellation and payment conditions.

4. CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT

Check-in is available from 12:00 to 17:00.

Guests arriving after 17:00 must notify the Hostel before 17:00 on the day of arrival in order to receive self check-in instructions and building access details.

Check-out must be completed by 10:00.

Late check-out until 12:00 may be available for an additional fee of €10, subject to availability.

5. ONLINE CHECK-IN AND IDENTIFICATION

Guests may be required to complete online registration before arrival and provide information required by applicable laws and regulations.

A valid government-issued photo identification document or passport must be presented upon request.

The Hostel reserves the right to refuse accommodation where required identification or registration information is not provided.

6. AGE REQUIREMENTS

The minimum age for booking and staying at the Hostel is 18 years.

Guests under the age of 18 are only permitted when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and when occupying a private room or private dormitory booked exclusively for their party.

Minors are not permitted in shared dormitories.

7. ACCESS CREDENTIALS

Guests are responsible for the safekeeping and proper use of any key cards, access codes, mobile credentials, or other access systems provided by the Hostel.

Access credentials must not be shared with non-guests or unauthorized persons.

8. DORMITORIES AND FACILITIES

Guests must use only their assigned bed unless otherwise authorized by the Hostel.

The Hostel reserves the right to assign or reassign beds and accommodation as operationally required.

Facilities and services may be modified, restricted, or temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, safety, operational requirements, or circumstances beyond the Hostel's control.

9. STAFF ACCESS

Authorized staff may enter rooms, dormitories, bathrooms, and other accommodation areas for cleaning, maintenance, repairs, emergencies, safety inspections, or enforcement of Hostel policies.

10. HOUSE RULES

Guests must comply with the Hostel Cosmos Amsterdam House Rules, which form an integral part of these Terms & Conditions.

Failure to comply with the House Rules may result in refusal of service, cancellation of the reservation, or removal from the Hostel without refund.

11. LIABILITY

Guests are responsible for any loss, damage, costs, or expenses resulting from their actions or omissions.

The Hostel shall not be liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Hostel shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or economic losses arising from a reservation or stay.

12. RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

The Hostel reserves the right to refuse accommodation, deny entry, or terminate a stay without refund where a guest:

- Violates these Terms & Conditions or the House Rules;

- Provides false or misleading information;

- Endangers the safety or wellbeing of others;

- Causes significant disturbance;

- Engages in illegal activities.

13. PRIVACY

Personal information will be processed in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection legislation.
