The history of Hostel Cosmos dates back to 1999. The current team took over the Hostel in 2018. Since then we make sure to provide the best possible service every day.

Instead of luxury, we offer a clean, friendly, inclusive, and social atmosphere at an affordable price. Our staff is always happy to help you find your way around the city, share local tips, or assist with practical questions during your stay.

Our hostel is housed in a monumental Amsterdam building with authentic charms and steep stairs. We have no elevator, and rooms with bunk beds, making our hostel best suited for younger, mobile travelers who are comfortable with stairs and climbing.

Situated in Amsterdam Oud-Zuid, we are in one of the city’s most popular and well-connected districts. Our street is quiet and residential, offering a calm place to recharge, while just a few minutes’ walk brings you to the lively energy of Museum Square, De Pijp, and many of Amsterdam’s cultural highlights. With excellent public transport connections, nightlife, cafés, museums, parks, and local neighborhoods all nearby, you can experience a lot of the city in a short amount of time.
