1. Arrival, Check-in & Check-out
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 12:00 to 17:00. Check-out is until 10:00.
Can I arrive very early / is early check-in possible?
Yes. You’re welcome to arrive anytime between 09:00 and 17:00. As soon as your bed is ready, we’ll be happy to check you in.
Do you hold luggage if I arrive before check-in?
Yes, luggage storage is available during reception hours.
What are your reception hours?
Reception is open daily from 09:00 to 17:00.
What happens if I arrive after 17:00?
Arrivals after 17:00 are handled via our self check-in kiosk.
You’ll find all details in the Late Arrivals & Self Check-in section below.

2. Late Arrivals & Self Check-in (Kiosk)
What is considered a late arrival?
Any arrival after 17:00 is considered a late arrival.
Can I check in after 17:00?
Yes. After 17:00, check-in is done via our self check-in kiosk.
To make everything run smoothly, it helps if you let us know in advance so we can prepare your arrival.
What should I do if I’m arriving after 17:00?
Please send us a message before 17:00 with your expected arrival time.
We’ll then send you:
- a front door access code, and
- clear instructions for using the self check-in kiosk.
This way, you can arrive comfortably and without stress.
How does self check-in via the kiosk work?
After entering the building using your access code, you can find your reservation at the kiosk by:
- typing your surname, or
- scanning the QR code from your confirmation email.
At the kiosk, you can:
- complete any remaining payment using the payment terminal,
- create your keycard, and
- see your room and bed number on the screen.
Is reception available during late check-in?
Reception is open from 09:00 to 17:00.
Arrivals after 17:00 are handled independently via the kiosk.
Can I access the building late at night?
Yes. Once you’re checked in, you can access the building 24/7 using your keycard.
We kindly ask guests to keep noise to a minimum after 21:00.
3. Reservations, Payments & City Tax
Which payment methods do you accept?
Payments can be completed via the kiosk and payment terminal using card or contactless payment. A valid payment card is required for check-in.
Do you accept cash payments?
No, cash payments are not accepted.
When is my payment collected?
This depends on your booking source and rate. Payment is collected according to the conditions of the platform you booked through. You can find details our reservation policy page here
Do I have to pay city tax / tourist tax?
Yes. City tax is required and charged according to Amsterdam regulations.
This is 12,5% and calculated over the total of the night rates.
Do you accept group bookings?
We do not accept bookings for more than 6 persons, even if reservations are made separately.
4. Rooms, Dorms, Facilities & What’s Included
What room types do you offer?
We offer a mix of dorm beds and private options, including dorm rooms and private twin rooms.
Do you offer mixed dorms?
No. To ensure optimal comfort and privacy we do not have mixed dorms.
What types of dorms do you have?
We offer female-only dorms and male-only dorms. Dorms are always separated by gender.
Will I ever be placed in a mixed dorm?
No. All dorm accommodation is gender-specific.
Is bed linen included?
Yes, bed linen is provided on your bed.
Are beds already made?
No. Fresh linen is provided on your bed, but beds are not pre-made.
Do dorm beds have lockers? Do I need a padlock?
Yes, dorms have lockers. Padlocks are not provided, but they can be purchased from the vending machine on the reception floor.
Is there an elevator in the building?
No, there is no elevator. We suggest you to pack lightly as there will be stairs.
Do you have a guest kitchen or food options?
Yes. There is a small kitchenette available for guests, including a microwave. Snacks and drinks are available from vending machines.
Can I bring my own food or drinks?
Yes. You may bring your own food and eat it in the lobby.
Food can be stored in the fridge but must be clearly labeled with your bed number.
Unlabelled food will be disposed of to ensure food safety.
Are towels or toiletries provided?
Towels and toiletries are not provided. Essentials such as soap, shower caps, tooth brush, shaving kits can be purchased from a vending machine.
5. House Rules & Guest Profile
Is smoking allowed? What about alcohol?
Smoking and alcohol are not allowed anywhere inside the building.
Violations result in a €200 fee, charged to the payment card, and may lead to immediate removal from the property.
Is smoking allowed outside?
Yes, smoking is allowed outside. Please avoid smoking directly in front of our neighbours’ doorways.
What is the minimum age? Are children allowed?
The property is for 18+ guests only. Children are not allowed.
Can my friends visit me at the hostel?
For safety and comfort reasons, only registered guests are allowed inside the building. Visitors are not permitted in guest areas.
Is there a curfew or quiet hours policy?
There is no curfew, and you can access the building 24/7 with your keycard.
We kindly ask guests to keep noise to a minimum after 21:00.
Are pets allowed?
No, pets are not allowed.
Do you offer cots or extra beds?
No, cots and extra beds are not available.
What happens if there are damages or rule violations?
Any damages or rule violations will be charged to the payment card on file and may result in removal from the property without refund.
6. Check-in Requirements
Do I need ID and a card at check-in?
Yes. Guests must present a valid photo ID and have a payment card for check-in.
Can you guarantee special requests (quiet bed, specific room, lower bunk, etc.)?
You’re welcome to request preferences, but all special requests are subject to availability and may involve additional charges.
